2023 Florida Manufacturing Days
Tallahassee, FL – Today, January 24, and tomorrow, January 25, the Florida Manufacturing & Supply Chain Advocacy Council is celebrating the “2023 Florida Manufacturing Days” in our state capitol with a delegation of nearly 50 manufacturing stakeholders.
The Florida Manufacturing & Supply Chain Advocacy Council is a coalition of manufacturing champions from across the state of Florida, working to leverage local relationships and execute grassroots campaigns to further a legislative climate that is responsive to the manufacturing industry. The Council represents the paying members of the industry associations affiliated to it. This is almost 1,000 manufacturing stakeholders statewide. This association of associations includes 14 regional manufacturers associations, the Florida Photonics Cluster, GrowFL, and the Florida Advanced Technological Education Center (FLATE).
The goals of the Advocacy Council are:
- Elevate legislative issues impacting manufacturing as a priority for key state leaders.
- Manage the process of developing a comprehensive list of statewide manufacturing advocacy priorities to be adopted by the members of the Council and distributed statewide.
- Organize the annual Florida Manufacturing Days in Tallahassee.
“This year, Florida Manufacturing Days has more participants than ever before, which shows how invested manufacturers from all across the state are in the future of the industry,” said Kevin Carr, CEO of FloridaMakes. “As leaders in their communities, these manufacturers bring their own personal stories and experiences into the discussion with legislators. They are helping to build relationships between the industry and legislative offices, which is key to the success of manufacturing in the state of Florida.”
Florida Manufacturing Days is a time for manufacturers and industry stakeholders to meet with legislators and statewide partners to discuss and advocate for manufacturing related issues and to learn more about the legislative process. The events and meetings hosted during this time are an opportunity for manufacturers to lend their voice in shaping Florida's manufacturing business environment.
